“Life is always moving” is a visual representation of personal emotion, specifically emotions surrounding mental health, which have been explored through a contemporary craft and multi-disciplinary approach. It is a project about personal struggles and emotions and the inherent way, as humans, we find life within light.
Photographic studies of landscapes and skies explore the theme of life and light. Taken along a road in the Lake District these images act as a visual representation of an emotional journey from claustrophobic shadows of the wooded area into the bright and light expanse of hills and skies.
Throughout this project a combination of photography, traditional hand drawings and contemporary techniques have been used to produce personal responses. This blended way of working echo’s the theme of this project and enables a connection between the maker, the outcomes and the viewer.
